Installation

Check out our step by step tutorial video to get you started, or just follow the steps:

  1. Install the extension on your Magento instance.
  2. Create an Algolia Account (14-day free trial).
  3. Choose the Algolia datacenter which is the closest to your end-users.
  4. Get your Algolia credentials from the "Credentials" left-menu.
  5. Configure your credentials from the System > Configuration > Catalog > Algolia Search administration panel.
  6. Force the re-indexing of all products & categories with the System > Index Management > Algolia Search index.
  7. Force the re-indexing of all pages with the System > Index Management > Algolia Search Pages index.
  8. Force the re-indexing of all suggestions with the System > Index Management > Algolia Search Suggestions index.
  9. Customize the look & feel of the autocompletion-menu and instant-search results page in /skin/frontend/base/default/algoliasearch/algoliasearch.css
