Apptrian Subcategories Grid/List Extension for Magento allows you to have subcategories in the form of a grid or list on category pages and optionally on the home page. Additionally there are several options for customization.

Features

  • Two layouts available (Grid or List).
  • Ability to sort subcategories by "Name", "Position", and "Created Date".
  • Ability to choose sorting direction ("Ascending" and "Descending").
  • Ability to show "Subcategories" heading or not.
  • Ability to show category name or not, and at what position. Options are "Do not show", "Bottom", and "Top".
  • Ability to show category description or not, and what database field to use. Options are "Do not show", "Description", and "Meta Description".
  • Ability to show category image or not, and what image to use. Options are "Do not show", "Image", and "Thumbnail".
  • If subcategory does not have an image (or thumbnail) placeholder image will be used.
  • Ability to add HTML attributes width and height (If you want to use CSS to style category images leave these empty).
  • Ability to show subcategories on multiple locations in relation to content block (after, before, or both).
